Alka Eco Liquification is also called bio-cremation or aquamation. It is a new, greener alternative to flame cremation and burial. This natural cremation uses water instead of fire, leaving a fine, white powder. This gives people the choice of a gentler, more environmentally friendly end-of-life termination. Worldwide, Alka Eco Liquification is now widely chosen. After the process, a white powder is left of the body, which can be kept or scattered just like a cremation. Our world population is growing very fast and more and more people want to reduce their ecological footprint. Luc: “I know many in the Netherlands are hoping for ministerial approval. However, there are still objections about the ‘waste water’ that remains after the Alka Eco Liquification process. These objections are delaying, perhaps it will not be allowed until 2024. This is unfortunate. At the time, Minister Ollongren said that the remaining water could perhaps be distributed to the fields. It would have been a nice solution, as the liquid is sterile and not environmentally damaging if it has had post-processing. Unfortunately, the issue is not on the agenda until early 2024, although there is talk of ‘tolerating’ it.”<\/p>\n Ambition<\/strong><\/p>\n Luc continues to work on his idea. “Even though Alka Eco Liquification is not yet allowed by law, we can do everything we can to reduce the minister’s objections. We are working hard on that. I can’t elaborate too much on that yet, but through the website and LinkedIn, we want to Luc self<\/strong><\/p>\n When Luc’s help was called in on a chemical project, resomeren was also discussed there. “There were a lot of complaints in Asia about smoke at cremations, harmful substances and so on.
