Sustainable Solutions, Less CO2, More Safety

All of our systems use sustainable techniques. The versions for human and animal water cremation, as well as all different systems for the destruction of drugs, biochemicals, and illegal fireworks, all result in less CO2 emissions.

Prevention of Biocontamination

Our alkaline hydrolysis (Resomeren) unit offers a streamlined process, allowing the deceased to be gently transformed alongside a special recyclable carton PUUR coffin in the chamber. By eliminating the need to remove the body from the coffin, we minimize the risk of biocontamination and make the process more efficient and respectful.

Energy, water, and the use of chemicals – savings

Our Alka Eco Liquification Systems can save 50-80% on monthly energy costs, reduce water usage, and lower chemical costs by reusing hot effluent. An independent German engineer verified the energy savings. Our system uses less energy, water, and chemicals.

In start mode, the total power consumption is theoretical 185KW, but that is gross usage. This is based on calculations made on 12 March 2021 by Engineer Jürgen Stichling, Ing. Büro Stichling, Pfaffenhofener Str. 4, 86564 Niederarnbach, Germany.

Since our energy recall system is generating savings of 50-80%, the gross usage of KW is not fully applicable, because each new cycle, with re usage of the hot Effluent, your total cost is already much lower.

To reuse the hot effluent, you will save a lot on the cost of KOH, energy to cool down the Effluent, and to heat it up for the next cycle. This cost a lot of extra energy. This extra energy is now saved, when the hot Effluent is reused.

In general:
You will also save monthly a lot on water, chemicals cost, energy usage. The total energy savings depend on the configuration you choose.

Our latest energy recall systems and innovations are designed to deliver significant energy savings, ranging from 50% to 80%. Currently, we’re pursuing CE and ATEX certifications to ensure our systems meet the highest standards.

Building on insights from the Dutch TAUW survey on Resomeren, where we participated alongside other industry players, we’ve identified opportunities to innovate and enhance our systems. Notably, our technology is versatile enough to accommodate unique applications, such as integration with biodegradable coffins like PUUR, designed for eco-friendly human burials. This adaptability, combined with our pursuit of significant energy savings (50-80%), positions our systems at the forefront of sustainable solutions for both human and pet applications.

Alka Eco Liquification is a natural alternative to existing end-of-life solutions.

The Dutch government does not prefer the term ‘resomeren’; they prefer ‘alkaline hydrolysis’.

Our Alka Eco Mobile DDU (Drug Destruction Unit) System helps authorities such as police and other government units destroy drugs without emissions in order to ensure the balance of our environment.

Who is behind AlkaEco?

We are a Dutch-German company that produces Alka Eco Liquification Innovations, in cooperation with specialized experts. Our customers include existing funeral businesses, crematories, hospitals, and new entrepreneurs from around the world.

The people behind our company are specialists with long careers in industrial engineering, pressure vessel design and manufacturing, construction engineering, bio-organic chemistry, chemical industries, process technology, chemistry, medical fields, maintenance, and safety technology.

Because professionals surround us, we are aware of the requirements, and we will adhere to them while offering advice.

As Director, I made the decision to update the previous website with all the latest innovations in early January 2024. Therefore, I decided to commission the creation of a completely new website with a new, more appropriate name.

What is Alka Eco Liquification?

The process of disposing of human remains using potassium hydroxide and heat is known as Alka Eco Liquification. Marketers market the process as the most sustainable alternative to traditional burial or cremation options.

The process is based on Alka Eco Liquification: the human body is placed in a pressure vessel that is filled with a mixture of water and potassium hydroxide and heated to a temperature of around 190 °C, at a pressure of 11 bar, this takes around 2.5 hours.
