Alka Eco Liquification – Interview by Uitvaart-Inside

Alka Eco Liquification Interview by Uitvaart Inside In the Netherlands, Alka Eco Liquification is still unknown to most. Alka Eco Liquification is a process that uses water instead of fire to return a body to mother nature. Luc de Haan is a pioneer in this field.

Alka Eco Liquification is also called bio-cremation or aquamation. It is a new, greener alternative to flame cremation and burial. This natural cremation uses water instead of fire, leaving a fine, white powder. This gives people the choice of a gentler, more environmentally friendly end-of-life termination. Worldwide, Alka Eco Liquification is now widely chosen. After the process, a white powder is left of the body, which can be kept or scattered just like a cremation. Luc de Haan himself has designed a sustainable Alka Eco Liquification System.

Benefits

Luc gained more and more knowledge and decided to put that knowledge to use in designing a Alka Eco Liquification System. “Alka Eco Liquification has many advantages. Our world population is growing very fast and more and more people want to reduce their ecological footprint. With this natural method of cremation you have no emissions of harmful substances, making it a much more environmentally friendly and sustainable solution. It requires no gas but electricity, jewellery remains undamaged and even prosthetics can be reused.”

Netherlands

Alka Eco Liquification is already known in several countries. In the USA, England and South Africa, it is already being used. Desmond Tutu, for instance, will also be resomerised in 2022. In the Netherlands, pets are already being resombed, but the permission to resoment individuals has unfortunately not yet been laid down by law. Luc: “I know many in the Netherlands are hoping for ministerial approval. However, there are still objections about the ‘waste water’ that remains after the Alka Eco Liquification process. These objections are delaying, perhaps it will not be allowed until 2024. This is unfortunate. At the time, Minister Ollongren said that the remaining water could perhaps be distributed to the fields. It would have been a nice solution, as the liquid is sterile and not environmentally damaging if it has had post-processing. Unfortunately, the issue is not on the agenda until early 2024, although there is talk of ‘tolerating’ it.”

Ambition

Luc continues to work on his idea. “Even though Alka Eco Liquification is not yet allowed by law, we can do everything we can to reduce the minister’s objections. We are working hard on that. I can’t elaborate too much on that yet, but through the website and LinkedIn, we want to
provide more information if we can.” Many people are enthusiastic about the product Luc has designed. “It is a tremendously safe product, I can vouch for that.”

Luc self

Alka Eco Liquification Interview by Uitvaart Inside “I worked for a long time at DSM, a Dutch chemical company that mainly focuses on fine chemicals and biotechnology. There I gained an enormous amount of knowledge and expertise, also especially in the field of safety.”

When Luc’s help was called in on a chemical project, resomeren was also discussed there. “There were a lot of complaints in Asia about smoke at cremations, harmful substances and so on. I then started looking into resomeren.”

“It requires no gas but electricity, jewellery remains undamaged and even prosthetics and pacemakers can be reused.”
